Worship and Arts Ministry
Psalm 150 states "Everything that has breath, praise the
Lord.”
Worship and arts are the creative
outlets through which we praise, magnify, and worship God. This includes:
Worship Team, Vocal and Instrumental
music
Our worship service blends contemporary choruses with traditional hymns to give praise and glory to God. Our Worship Team sings and plays each week for our many gatherings. They are musically talented individuals but more importantly, they are worshipppers. Other singers and musicians play during our services and all of the music is a fantastic tool to draw
people to focus on Jesus Christ. John
12:32 says when we lift Jesus high, He will draw all men to Himself. This is the purpose and goal of music at
Messiah, to lift high and magnify our Lord and Savior.
Audio & Visual
The technical aspect of praise and worship is incredibly
important. The skilled people who work
in visuals, audio, and lighting enable the praise to flow uninterrupted. This includes computer savvy, understanding
and use of sound equipment, and lighting.
Drama
Jesus told stories throughout the Bible to illustrate a
particular point or message He was trying to portray, and drama is a way to do
that in the current church as well. Our adult and youth dramas teams minister within the church service to bring the sermons to life. In addition, we produce larger, special productions
such as the Night in Bethlehem
at Christmas and the Living Last Supper during Holy Week.
Seasonal Productions
At Easter
and Christmas, we bring our church together and draw the community into the
church to hear the Good News through amazing and powerful Christmas and Easter dramas. Watch our Events to Come for details.
Dance
Jeremiah 31:4 commands us to "take up your tambourines and
go out to dance with the joyful.” Dance
is another powerful way we illustrate and enhance praise and worship, especially
during special seasons such as Easter and Christmas.
