Dr. Daniel Moore founded Messiah Christian Church in
1988.
Since then, it has grown slowly and steadily to become a
respected and important part of the towns in southern Maine.
Pastor
Dan loves to see people come to Christ and grow and change
Pastor Dan accepted Christ in 1977- He has his Masters degree from
Gordon-Conwell Seminary and also holds two other Master’s degrees in Counseling
and Education. He has also completed his doctorate degree in Ministry.
- He played for the Birmingham Stars, a
semi professional basketball team and he once held the record for the most
points scored in a high school basketball game with 71 points. .
- He served on the foreign mission field
in Saudi Arabia and he is currently the chaplain for the Wells Fire Department
- His favorite scripture is 1
Corinthians 15: 58: Stand firm and let nothing move you. Always give yourself
fully to the work of the Lord.
The Senior Pastor shall be the spiritual overseer of the local
church. He is responsible before God for the general direction of the local
body. He shall be an ex-officio member of all committees and ministries. He
shall be the chairman of the Board of Elders, thus providing insight and
direction in the operation of the church. The pastor is responsible in the
following areas:
- Feed the flock with God’s Word. II Timothy 4:2
- Leading the flock into truth. Hebrews 13:9
- Guarding the flock. Acts
20:28-30
- Counseling the flock. Proverbs 12:20, 24:6
- Teaching sound doctrine. II Timothy 4:2-3
- Accounting for the flock. Hebrews 13:17, Colossians 1:28
- Distributing sacraments of Communion and Water Baptism
Training others to do work of ministry. Ephesians 4:11-12
