Outreach
|
The objective of the community outreach ministry
is to reach Wells and the surrounding communities with the love and good news of
Christ. The various Community Outreach ministries provide opportunities for our
congregation to outwardly express the life and love of Christ within us.
Our community Outreach Ministry is organized into the following categories:
Social Services:
Through the activities of this area we touch our
community with the warmth of God's love by providing immediate and direct aid to
individuals or groups who are hurting or have unmet basic human needs. The
may take the form of food assistance, shelters, relief money, nursing home
visitation, child care, and the coordination of services which may be necessary.

Evangelistic
Events:
We attempt to share the good news of
Christ with our community members who visit our church service and
those who do not. For our visitors we have developed a series
of annual events designed to specifically share the good news of
Christ with our community. These events include semi-annual Friend
Day Celebrations, our summer Concert series, community suppers,
community theater and support of local Civic groups.
