Matthew 28: 20-Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing then in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things I have commanded you and I am with you always even to the end of the age.
There are many believers who never become true disciples of Jesus although they assume that they are disciples given their ministries, their level of service and the regularity of their church attendance. But they have never developed that deep relationship with God nor do they ever learn the Word and obedience to it. They have not been "taught to observe all the things Jesus has commanded.” When the rains come, their faith, their lives and their ministries fall and the ruin is great (Luke 6:49).
Our Mentoring Program pairs a new believer with a mature believer for 6 months of one on one weekly bible Study. We want to develop disciples who Jesus refers to in Luke 6:48. They come to Him, learn to hear Him and obey Him so that they are like a house built on the rock. When the rains come, the house stands. Their faith endures and their relationship with God deepens.
