Men's Ministry

As men, we have made a decision to fight for a truly noble cause - the cause of Christ- and to understand that this battle cannot be fought alone. We need other brothers in our foxholes who will come alongside and lift us up. Spend a little time with the men of Messiah and you will find the support, friendship and resources you need to help you live the life God meant for you yo live as a husband, father, son and friend. This is the goal of our Men's Ministry.

We meet together several times each month:

1. Men's Bible Study –There are several mentoring groups for men each week. If you are interested in the mentor program, please call the church office at (207) 985-9287

2. Men's Monthly Breakfast-Third Saturday of the month at 8am-Breakfast provides the men with sustenance both physically and spiritually as they join together for an hour to feast, talk and hear a lively testimony of God's power and experience the strength of the Christian community. This year 2014-15, the men will study "Kingdom Man" by Tony Evans. See the description below. You may purchase a book and join the study or just come any month and join in.

3. Annual Men's Retreat:  A one night get away held in the spring/summer where men gather together to seek the Lord and grow in their relationship with Him and each other. (June 10th to June 11th, 2016)

Manhood Restored - The earthly crisis within manhood will be there until Jesus returns, but in Christ men are pointed toward the gospel as the vision for renewal. Manhood Restored by exciting new pastoral voice Eric Mason combines theological depth with practical insights, putting men in step with a gospel-centered manhood that will enrich every facet of their lives.

"Men become better men in the company of other Christian men.”

Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed.  If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.  Ecc 4: 9-11
