Staff

The staff at Messiah is a diverse, lively, yet Godly group! We consist of our Senior Pastor, Rev. Dr. Daniel Moore and his wife Rosemary;  Carlyn Tedesco, Youth & Children’s Director; Nate Stevens, Recreation Outreach Center Assistant and Michelle Tate, Church Secretary. Working together as a team, along with many active volunteers, we are dedicated to ensuring that the church functions as a healthy, friendly and spiritual home to its community of believers.

Rev Dr. Daniel Moore founded Messiah Christian Church in 1988.

Since then, it has grown slowly and steadily to become a respected and important part of the towns in southern Maine.

Pastor Dan loves to see people come to Christ and grow and change

• Pastor Dan accepted Christ in 1977
• Masters from Gordon-Conwell Seminary; Master’s degrees in Counseling and Education. Doctorate of Ministry.
• He played for the Birmingham Stars, a semi professional basketball team and he once held the record for the most points scored in a high school basketball game with 71 points. .
• He served on the foreign mission field in Saudi Arabia and he is currently the chaplain for the Wells Fire Department
• His favorite scripture is 1 Corinthians 15: 58: Stand firm and let nothing move you. Always give yourself fully to the work of the Lord.

Rosemary Moore loves working in the church.

• Rosemary Accepted Christ as her Savior at age 17
• College of the Holy Cross BA in English; University of Connecticut Law School JD.
• She practiced corporate law for 25 years and now has her own consulting company, but her heart is in ministry.
• She oversees the Women’s’ Ministry, the Youth team, educational programs, small groups, the Faith in Action program.
• Pastor Dan and Rosemary have two great kids, Joshua and Katelyn. Rosemary loves to cook, eat and get together with friends.
• One of her favorite scriptures is 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing and in everything give thanks for this is God’s will for in you in Christ Jesus.”

Carlyn Tedesco loves working with the Youth

• She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at 21
• She has been an active member of Messiah Christian Church and has been serving in the children’s ministry since 2005
• God called her to become the Children’s & Youth Ministry Leader in 2008 and that is where her heart is, in ministry serving God with her life.
• Her heart’s desire is to see all youth come to know Jesus personally as their Savior, for them to really live out their faith daily with passion and purpose for God, leading the world to Christ!
• Her passion is working with the youth, teaching them to live for God and love God with their whole hearts bringing glory to God in every area of their lives.
• Her favorite scripture is 1Timothy 4:12 Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.
  

• Amy has a beautiful voice and she loves to worship her Lord and Saviour. 
  

• Amy attended Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts where she met her husband, Gary who is a family physician. 
  
• Amy is the mother of four wonderful children ages 14, 11, 3 and 8 months. Her oldest child attends Veritas Academy and she homeschools the rest.
