Listowel
Christian Fellowship
History of the Church:
Listowel Christian Fellowship is an independent Evangelical Christian
Church based on the south west coast of Ireland in County Kerry. We are a
relatively small body of believers in the town of Listowel, but we have
seen tremendous fruit in the past few years. Presently there are over 20
families attending, an average of about 25-30 adults and up to 30
teenagers and children.
Initially we met as a small group in the Home of J.P. and Fidelma Walsh.
They were the ones who felt the call of God on their lives to raise a
church here in a place where the concept of a bible based church was a
totally new idea. We met in Their home for seven years but as numbers
increased we began, renting a building in the center of the town. It has
only been four years now and we have outgrown this current building. We
have members coming from within a 10-mile radius off Listowel. With each
new step there has been fruit.
The owner of the building we rent from came to know the Lord and has been
very supportive in our efforts to establish a more permanent meeting
place. He was also among the first to have made a donation towards the new
building. As we have explored the idea of building our own facilities the
doors have been opened before our eyes. God has miraculously provided in
the whole area of planning advice and architect. Although this is the
first time planning permission has been sought for this type of building
in this part of Ireland, our plans were approved without a hitch. Most
evangelical churches still meet in homes, or rent. This will be the first
purpose built Evangelical church in this region of Ireland.
Not only will this building meet a great need here it will also encourage
other churches to take the next step and become a visible testimony for
Christ in their own towns.

Pray For Us:
As with any move of God there is opposition. We are involved here in a
constant spiritual battle. Prayer is our greatest weapon. We would ask
that you would lift us up in prayer. Pray for our leaders as they take
this next step of faith. Pray for the hearts of the people we will reach
with the Gospel. Pray that above all God's will would be done here.
Help Us Get Others Involved:
We have been blessed here to have visitors from all over the world. They
are always so surprised at the lack of churches here. We would ask that
you tell people about the situation here.

This project is a huge undertaking for a small fellowship. If you feel

God that can build a church from his people all around the world. We would
